TELL US WHAT YOU THINK: Discipleship Coordinator DyAnn is
developing a new link on our website for persons who are “church shopping”. She is looking for one-liners from you, the “satisfied customer,” as to what you like about Orchard or what connects you to this place. If you would like to share a short testimonial for possible inclusion on our website, please submit your brief statement (no longer than a paragraph) to DyAnn's email or put it in her staff mailbox.

Club 56,  the mid-week program for "tweens" (grades 5 and 6). We recognize that as students transition between elementary and middle school, they face  unique issues. We have developed a program that will help prepare them for some of these challenges. We'll be focusing on building character and a strong sense of self, as well as how to confidently interact and handle the challenges of this age group, using Biblically based curriculum and Christian values.

Both groups begin Wednesday, September 15, 2010 from 4:45 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Registration forms are available in the church office.

Fee is $35 per child; $80 family maximum.

Each session is for 10 weeks and includes dinner!

NEXT Program Resources

With the economic climate being what it is, and the future of jobs being often insecure, it is important to have a place to feel connected with others, where you can share experiences and know that someone else really understands.

Our NEXT resource center (located in Room 202) has a supply of helpful books and articles. All are welcome to borrow any of these resources for personal use.

The NEXT program at Orchard also holds occasional informational meetings that are led by professionals and leaders in their field, to assist in helping you in these difficult times. Some of our topics include:

  • Writing a Great Résumé

  • “Creative Approaches to Jobs and New Enterprises”

  • The “How To’s” of Starting a New Business

  • How to Write a Business Plan

  • Coping with the Stress of Losing, Looking for, and Finding a New Job

If you're interested in a particular session, please call the office to find out scheduling possibilities, check our online calendar for more details, or call Rev. Margo at 248-626-3620, ext. 27 to find out "what's next" for you...
