Rev. Suzanne K. Goodwin

How long at OUMC: since 2005
Favorite part of job: Catching sight of the God moments shared in this family of faith.
Random fact: Was an MSU Spartan Marching Band percussionist... a long time ago!
Guilty pleasure: So many... hockey games and a bowl of popcorn; romance novels and dark chocolate.
Future hope for ministry: Continued growth of our youth ministry, and dynamic expressions of worship.
Administrative Assistant, Worship Producer, Graphic Arts/Design
Linda has worked at OUMC since 2001, serving in various positions through the years - youth choir director; junior high leader; youth director; Club 56 program developer and leader; and currently as administrative assistant. This includes multi-media, special publications and graphics art/design, and coordinating communications across all social media. She also serves as worship producer, overseeing the coordination of service elements with all worship-related teams (music, technical, media, drama, etc.). A favorite part of that job is helping with altar and chancel/stage design for the different sermon series, campaigns, and liturgical seasons. Oh, and she sings with the band, man!
Director of Music
How long at OUMC: I was pretty much born into the church and the music program. I was baptized, confirmed, and a member until I moved away to college in 1996. On staff since February 2014.
Favorite part of job: The process of preparing music, watching the growth of musicians and singers through the music, and delivering the music message as it comes alive on Sunday mornings.
Random fact: I spent 5 years traveling all over the world as a music director.
Guilty pleasure: Not only do I get to make music with a beautiful Orchard family, I get to introduce my son, Anjelo, to an amazing and positive environment at the same time.
Future hopes for ministry: To add to the music program while combining a variety of styles, ages, people, instruments, and energies.
Dr. Tom Clark
Tom started piano lessons at age 4, and the rest is history. Although his day job is being a “shrink” working with police officers, firefighters, pilots, and athletes, he also loves being the Organist at Orchard because assisting in praise and worship (and being a musical blessing to others) are two of the top joys of his life (especially on one of the largest instruments in the state). He has also given concerts in such far-flung venues as the National Cathedral in Washington D.C., Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris, and St. Andrew’s Cathedral in Honolulu. Tom says that every one of the seventeen years he has spent at Orchard has helped him grow in his love for the Lord and the ministry of this grace-filled congregation.
Fusion (Senior High) Leader, Pastoral Intern
Nick Bonsky has been in youth leadership in some form or another at Orchard United Church for almost a decade. Currently, he is serving as the Senior High Youth Director as well as Seminary Intern. He is married to Lesley Bonsky, and has one child, Elijah Bonsky. Nick is most passionate about helping the youth discern their call from God and exploring where that will lead them in life. Sometimes, this involves games that end up in the form of a human pyramid, other times its through discussion. You never know what will happen on a Sunday night in Youth Group. In his free time, he likes to play and watch baseball (though he is way better at the watching part) and you may also find him in his free time zoning out to video games.
JAM (Junior High) Leader
Kelly joins our staff as the Junior High leader. She has been active with our kids and youth for several years, helping out in VBS and our BLAST mid-week program by doing all things sports and games; and most recently as co-leader of our Club 56 tweens group.
Kelly is married and has three children.
Children's Christian Education Director
Jenny holds a Bachelor of Science in Child Development with an Early Childhood Endorsement. She also has a Master of Arts in Curriculum and Teaching. Both degrees are from Michigan State University. Jenny taught elementary school in the Birmingham School District for ten years. The selection team was excited by Jenny’s experience in elementary education, her understanding of early childhood development, her experience coaching educators, her creativity, and her excitement for helping children grow in faith. Jenny is a member of Orchard along with her husband Drew.
Mari Anne Wilks
Mari Anne Wilks is serving in our Children's Ministry program as Nursery Coordinator. Her loving heart for children makes her the perfect fit for nurturing our littlest ones. She has also served here at Orchard as Children's Ministry Director and Director of Early Chiilhood Ministriies.
She is married to Jack, and they have three children: Marisa, Haley, and Keenan. They are an integral part of our Orchard family.
