Tiny Homes Project

Tiny Homes Project

Partnering with Cass Community Social Services, Orchard will be sponsoring a tiny home through the Cass Tiny Homes Project. We have committed to raise the $40,000 it will take to build a tiny house that will become a home for just the right someone in need.

There are countless ways to get involved, ranging from fundraising to further hands-on opportunities during the year. We are already well on the to our financial goal, and are excited to continue! Inquire about sponsoring an individual part of our tiny house (a door, a window, a shingle, etc.), perhaps donating in the name of someone you love. Click here to find out how you can help build this tiny home and for more information about Orchard's part in the Tiny Homes Project.

Bridges Out of Poverty

Sundays from 6-7:30 pm

Starting January 15, 2017

The Tiny Homes Steering Committee is offering a four-week class led by Mary Gladstone-Highland, a Church and Community Worker through the Board of Global Ministries of the United Methodist Church. This class is called “Bridges out of Poverty” and will meet Sunday nights from 6-7:30 pm starting January 15, 2017. The class is designed to help us understand the cycle of poverty. It is a powerful resource for us as we continue to be in ministry with those who struggle. Please contact the church to register; a materials fee of $20 will be collected at the first class.
